Despite its peaceful rural location, Little Woodside is ideally placed for easy access to the A9 and the bustling town of Inverness, with all the facilities that provides.
To get to Little Woodside:
- From Inverness take the A9 North (direction Wick), and cross the Kessock Bridge
- Take the first turn off the A9 marked 'North Kessock, Kilmuir, Drumsmittal'
- At the roundabout, take the second exit (marked 'Kilmuir'); this road will wind under the dual carriageway to rejoin the A9 heading back to Inverness
- Take this road slowly and be on the look out for a small left turn before you rejoin the A9. It is a poorly marked single track road for 'Kilmuir'
- After half a mile turn right (marked 'Kilmuir')
- After one mile turn right (marked 'Kilmuir')
- Wind down this road for about half a mile and Little Woodside will be found clearly marked on the right hand side, shortly after the 'Squirrel' road sign
